Goodland Area Chamber of Commerce

    The Goodland Area Chamber of Commerce is an organization that promotes the business community within Goodland, Kansas. We are member-based and therefore support and sponsor activities that feature those members.

    We do this by organizing events that encourage participation within our community such as Business After Hours (an event that gives others a chance to network and make important business connections), Holiday Promotions (photographic opportunities with various holiday mascots for community families), Taste of Goodland (promotes the area restaurants and home-based businesses so they may show off their delicacies, treats and gifts), Crazy Daze (a unique sidewalk sale that beats all sidewalk events… coming in July ’09, a Fall Stubble Collection Day… coming September ’09 (with the help of several volunteers within the community, trimmed branches, metal, concrete and brick stubble will be collected from Goodland’s residential district and taken to the local landfill), an annual meeting of the Chamber and all its members, a Christmas Dinner/Dance with the fabulous Jimmy Dee Band this December and more events too numerous to mention here!

    We send out monthly newsletters that keep the business community abreast of the current news that the Chamber has to offer as well as any upcoming events that either the Chamber or other organizations are hosting. This website is just one example of how we strive to be progressive for our members. We do this so that we may offer the person doing research in moving to Goodland or potential business interested in relocating to Goodland. To coin a popular phrase around here, we want our visitors to have as much information to encourage them to stay a night or stay a lifetime! Please come and grow with us!

 

    This website was created with our members in mind so that they may have an online presence in addition to our chamber being available to those who wish to visit our area.

    We are currently gathering information so that we may offer the Goodland community a Chamber Bucks Program!

    This program will operate as a service to our community to encourage shopping in the Goodland area as well as a benefit for our members as well as our community members.

    Chamber Bucks can only be spent at Sherman County businesses. Therefore the program not only offers a nice way to support our local commerce but also allows the receiver to make their own choices. As an example, a real estate company recently had a house closing. That real estate company might choose to give $100 in chamber bucks to their new home buyer as a gift, knowing this person will re-invest the money back into our community keeping the cycle alive. By utilizing the chamber bucks program, the real estate company doesn’t have to choose one store over another in our community to purchase their gift but allows the new home buyer that choice to not only purchase something they need but at a store that is in the Goodland business community! It’s a win-win solution!

    The Goodland Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to be able to offer such a program to our community! Look for it to be available in the coming months!

Celebrate Independence Day!

 

An event for the whole family to enjoy. Join us on the Sherman County Fairgrounds for Great Food, Carnival Rides, Live Entertainment, Fireworks, and much more. Watch the best fireworks show from Denver to Hays presented by local talent Joe Diaz. This event is brought to you by the Freedom Festival Committee and local donations.
